Trader Joe's Chicken Tikka Masala
Homemade Tikka Masala that cooks itself! Thanks Trader Joe’s!
Ingredients
- 1 (15 oz.) jar Trader Joe’s Masala Simmer Sauce
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (approx. 2 lbs.) - cut into bite size pieces
- 1 (14.5 oz.) can Trader Joe’s fire-roasted diced tomatoes-drained
- 1 package Trader Joe’s Organic Brown Rice - cooked
- Optional: Sour Cream and Cilantro
Directions
- Step 1 Pour half of the Simmer Sauce into the bottom of the slow cooker
- Step 2 Top sauce with chopped chicken breast pieces – in a single layer
- Step 3 Pour drained tomatoes evenly over the chicken
- Step 4 Pour remaining Simmer Sauce over top
- Step 5 Cook on High for 2.5 hours in crock pot
- Step 6 Stir in tablespoon of sour cream to enhance creaminess if desired
- Step 7 Serve over cooked rice and garnish with chopped cilantro and a scoop of sour cream if desired – enjoy!
