Easy Chocolate Pecan Bars

My husband loves pecans.  I have never been a huge fan, but I love my husband, so I decided to try out this recipe for him, and I ended up totally loving it too! And it only requires FIVE ingredients and about 10 minutes prep!

I took a recipe for “Hello Dolly” bars, and tweaked it a bit.  Not sure why these would be called Hello Dolly bars, but I just call them delicious!

These Chocolate Pecan Bars put all the decadence of a Chocolate Pecan Pie into bar form, you know, for easier consumption! No fork required!

Simply mix butter & graham cracker crumbs together, press into a square baking pan, sprinkle with chopped pecans, @ghiradelli chocolate chips, and pour a can of sweetened condensed milk over the top – that’s it!

They are gooey, sweet & nutty all at the same time – make some TODAY!!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups crushed Graham Cracker crumbs

  • 1 stick unsalted butter – melted

  • 1 1/4 cups chopped pecans

  • 1 cup chocolate chips (we like dark chocolate chips)

  • 1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Cut butter into chunks, and melt in a measuring cup in the microwave. (2.5 minutes at 50% power)
  • In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs with butter until combined. Pour crumb mixture into a 9×9 baking pan that has been lined with parchment or aluminum foil. Press crumbs down to create a flat crust in bottom of pan.
  • Next sprinkle pecans over top. Then sprinkle chocolate chips over that, and then evenly pour condensed milk over all.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden. Allow to cool for 1 hour before serving.

Notes

  • Look for boxed Keebler Graham Cracker crumbs in the Baking aisle in some grocery stores to make this recipe even quicker!
  • If using whole graham crackers, 1 sleeve crushed in a zip top bag should approximately equate to 2 cups.
  • If you don’t want to make these too sweet, look for Ghirardelli Chocolate 60% Cacao Bittersweet Chocolate Chips. So good!
