Looking for a quick and easy vegetarian dinner idea? With only FIVE ingredients, this dish checks all the boxes for creamy, comfort food, AND is on the table in no time!
The mushrooms add meatiness and just 2 tablespoons of Creme Fraiche & parmesan elevate this simple recipe to another level – seriously.
Creme Fraiche?
In France, creme fraiche is a naturally thickened cream made with unpasteurized cream and provides a tart, buttery flavor. In the U.S. the product is made with pasteurized cream and fermented with either buttermilk or sour cream. I usually find it at Fresh Market or Whole Foods. Plain sour cream is a great substitute for crème fraîche, however, the result will just be slightly more sour than if crème fraîche is used, but still delicious!
Also note, I used Gluten Free pasta here, and it was still delicious. But I know standard pasta would be even tastier!
